Range of Light for Alto Saxophone and Piano

Each movement of Range of Light—“Winter Sunrise,” “Vernal Falls,” “Jeffrey Pine,” and “Clearing Winter Storm”—was inspired by a different image of Yosemite National Park by photographer Ansel Adams. Range of Light, written for saxophonist Nathan Nabb of Locals 29-717 (Granite City, IL) and 2-197 (St. Louis, MO), is part of Stephen Lias’s series of concert and chamber works celebrating US national parks.
