Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra Reaches Five-Year Agreement

Musicians of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra (HSO) ratified a five-year contract agreement in early October. The spirit of negotiations was collaborative and cooperative. The CBA will be effective through August 2024, and provides modest increases to base salaries and other compensation including per diem, equipment transportation, pension, and more.

“This agreement is an affirmation of the impressive gains that the orchestra has made in recent years, both artistically and organizationally,” says percussionist Chris Rose, chairman of the orchestra committee and a member of Local 269 (Harrisburg, PA). “We love playing in Harrisburg and want to be an active participant in the continued growth and development of the institution. This agreement will help us forge an even more productive relationship with the music director, the management, and the community.”
